Lift/ Elevator Operator Training

Safe and efficient operations of elevators are reliant upon a well-trained operator who understands their responsibilities for both technical handling and passenger safety and comfort. Lift/Elevator Operator Training programs are designed to provide operators with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to handle lifts in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. The training consists of:

  • Basic Operations - becoming familiar with control panels, selecting floors, and how to handle passengers smoothly;
  • Daily Checks - performing inspections to ensure that doors and emergency alarms are operational, as are indicators;
  • Safety Procedures - knowledge of prevention for overload, safe boarding, and how to assist passengers;
  • Emergency Procedures - understanding what to do in a power failure, communicating with trapped passengers, and how to effectively coordinate a rescue;
  • Maintenance-awareness - identification of common faults, reporting these faults to technical teams, and servicing faults, etc;
  • Professional Practise - how to interact with passengers, being disciplined, and the workplace protocols etc.

Trained and certified operators are skilled in minimizing risk, reducing downtime, and ensuring a safe environment for passengers. Operators are assessed and certified on completion of training, and they become eligible for positions working in housing societies, shopping malls, hospitals, corporate office buildings, and public buildings. Investing in elevator operator training provides compliance with any statutory requirements while at the same time providing improved user safety, operational efficiency, and reliability of lift systems to your building owners, clients, or facility manager.
